MISSOURI ONLINE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING

PLS Legal Update is sponsored by the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy (CMPA) and is Missouri POST-certified through that sponsorship.

LESSON PACKAGES
The PLS 22-hour Missouri law enforcement officer lesson package includes a minimum of the following each year:
- 2 hours of legal training;
- 2 hours of technical skills training;
- 2 hours of interpersonal perspectives training;
- 1 hour of de-escalation training;
- 1 hour of implicit bias training; and
- 1 hour of racial profiling training designed to help satisfy the requirements under Missouri Revised Statutes section 590.050.1.
To assist agencies with CALEA training requirements, this package will generally include the following additional lessons each year: ethics, arrest and detention of foreign nationals, harassment, and mental illness.
This package will include some repeat lessons designed to fulfill mandated training requirements.
The PLS 18-hour Missouri law enforcement officer lesson package includes a minimum of the following each year:
- 2 hours of legal training;
- 2 hours of technical skills training
- 2 hours of interpersonal perspectives training;
- 1 hour of de-escalation training.
- 1 hour of implicit bias training; and
- 1 hour of racial profiling training designed to help satisfy the requirements under Missouri Revised Statutes section 590.050.1.
